Facing Nature is a series of public structured encounters between 12 artists working in performance and sharing a relation to Nature. Over the course of three days, in duos and dialogues the participants exchange on their practices with and perspectives on Nature. Next to addressing the topic in its relevance for live art, Facing Nature aims for a new understanding of artist talks: conversations between artists going beyond discussing one piece and rather allowing to explore one’s artistic universe.
The encounters are accompanied by film screenings and a nightly long durational live reading session, as well as by excellent food. To respect the live character of the talks and the spontaneity of thinking together, they are not video or audio documented.
